While every city has its challenges, and Boston is no different in this regard, our response to the tragic events the week of April 15th has shown the world that there is no adversity a united Boston cannot survive. There are no setbacks we cannot overcome and emerge from as a stronger city.
Just four months old, 2013 is already an epochal year for Boston. Our mayor recently announced his decision to step down at the end of his current term, and the race to succeed him is in full swing.
While I will not be a candidate for mayor in 2013, I do seek to serve our city again as an at large City Councilor. I believe the next mayor and city council will need to work together cooperatively, as a team, in order to make our city the very best it can be. And I want to be part of that team.
Please know that I sincerely appreciate all your help and support over the years. I have always done my best to live up to your expectations by serving the City of Boston to the best of my ability. And I look forward to continuing to work for you, and with you, towards a better and brighter future for us all, as an at large member of the Boston City Council.
